BY LETHISA KOLOKOL

AIR Niugini CEO Alan Milne has brought back the Higher Altitude Program, which he first started seven years ago, to improve flight reliability, customer service, and financial performance, following his return this February.

The Higher Altitude Program is a strategic airline initiative focused on four main objectives.

The upgraded version of the program focusses enhancing service culture by fostering a customer-first mindset across all departments.

Secondly it improves operational reliability by streamlining processes and team coordination to minimize passenger disruptions, whilst strengthening financial performance through cost-saving measures designed for long-term sustainability.

The initiative also promotes organizational unity by partnering with the National Airline Employees Association (NAEA) to ensure clear communication between management and staff.

Speaking during the relaunch, Mr. Milne emphasized the Program is about bringing every area of Air Niugini together, service, operations, finance, and the people.

He adds that working together keeps customers happy and the airline strong.
In his closing remarks, the CEO said the exciting times are coming for the airline and more announcements will be made in the coming months.

With the Refleet program, the relaunch of the Higher Attitude program aims to cut costs by working smarter, make customers happier with reliable service, and help the airline beat its competitors.
