CLRC APPLAUDED FOR REVIEWING DDA LAWS

THE CONSTITUTIONAL and Law Reform Commission (CLRC) has been applauded for successfully reviewing and launching the laws that enable and guide the governance of the District Development Authorities in the country.

CLRC Commissioner Isi Henry Leonard commended the CLRC executives and Department of Justice and Attorney General for working collaboratively in strengthening the DDA guidelines and functions in districts.

CLRC Commissioner Leonard added that the review is also to fix the weak areas within the DDA and give effect to the legal framework to DDA’s to manage for better performance and output.

CLRC Commissioners in Isi Leonard, Johnson Wapunai, Rev Dr Jack Urame and Dr Dora Kuir-Ayius including CLRC Chairman Saki Soloma did the honours in cutting the ribbon, marking the official launching of the Issue Paper for Terms of Reference (TOR) No. 26 – Review of the Laws on the District Development Authorities (DDAs) earlier this week in Port Moresby.
