POGERA RFL RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM POGERA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

THE Pogera Rugby Football League (PRFL) in the new Pogera-Paiela District received a K2,500 cash donation from the Pogera Chamber of Commerce that will be used to purchase medical supplies and kits for the local league.
President of the Porgera Chamber of Commerce Mr. Nixon Paiela presented a contribution of K2,500 to the Porgera Rugby Football League, which was received by PRFL President Mr. Mey Leo and the Porgera RFL Medical Team.
PRFL President Mey Leo acknowledged the support, highlighting the commitment and demonstrates the importance placed on player safety and wellbeing.
“The support will assist the Porgera RFL Medics in providing proper medical attention and helping players manage injuries throughout the 2026 season,” President Leo said.
Pogera Chamber of Commerce President Mr Nixon Paiela mentioned that sports is a tool for community development where sports play an important role in every community and district by promoting unity and helping to minimise law and order issues.
Mr Paiela recognised and commended the youths and leaders who are leading the Porgera Rugby Football League and assured them of his continued support adding that more support would come from organisations, business houses, and corporate entities within the district.
Mr Paiela encouraged all players and teams to remain disciplined, respect match officials, and uphold good sportsmanship.
He confirmed that the Porgera Chamber of Commerce & Industry would continue to support and assist the Porgera RFL Medical Team.
