RESEALED ERIMA MAMBU ROAD OPENED

THE 1.58-kilometre stretch of the Erima Mambu Road was officially opened this week following re-sealing works, funded by the Government under the National Capital District Commission.
The road project was constructed by Apra Construction costing K2.3 million and will serve the residents of Port Moresby Northeast and the NCD.
NCDC City Manager Ravu Frank acknowledged Governor Parkop, MP Kaupa and the NCDC Board for seeing the project through, saying this road is an example of the NCDC Governor’s vision to develop this city into a planned, safe, inclusive and livable city.
He thanked the community for their cooperation and support for Apra Construction and for involving youth and community members in the project.
NCDC Governor Parkop said through this road, the community can be assured that this is the beginning of change for the community, and urged community members to look after it so that other developments can take place.
Parkop also acknowledged Northeast MP Kaupa, the NCDC City Manager, NCDC Board, Apra Construction and community leaders for their work on the road.
Ward 9 Councillor Moses Kombori thanked the NCD Governor and the Member for North East and NCDC Board for their support in developing the area.
The road was officially opened by NCD Governor Powes Parkop, Moresby North East MP John Kaupa, City manager Ravu Frank and Managing Director for Apra Construction Stanley Kul.
