WOMEN ASSOCIATION IN WATUT RECEIVED BRAND NEW TRUCK

THE Nauti Women’s Association in Watut LLG, Bulolo have received a brand new truck in support of their association from the Bulolo District Development Authority under the Chairmanship of Bulolo MP, Sam Basil Jr this week.

The association is mainly involved in growing and packaging rice under the brand ‘Nani Rice’ and the support was to boost their work in that agriculture and SME space.

Basil Jr when presenting the truck praised the group for their effort in bringing the association to where is is now and thanked the women of Watut for working as a partner to the Bulolo DDA and urge the association members to support and grow from where they are.

Basil Jr said his duty as the government of the day is to ensure wealth creation opportunities and services are delivered equally and challenged other women to create such groups so they can be supported by the government because it will hard to support individuals asking for support.

Watut Women’s Women’s Council and Nauti Women’s Association President, Nera Nevens thanked the MP for his support and said they are now fully equipped to continue their work.

The Nauti Women’s Association was formed in 2012 and after 16 years, they are seeing the fruits of their hard work and aim to venture into poultry apart from rice farming and packaging.
