PNG LEWAS EYE FINAL ODI FIGHT BACK vs THAILAND TODAY

FOLLOWING the PNG Lewa defeat on the second day of the one day international (ODI) loss to Thailand, going down by 40 runs at Amini Park on Saturday 15th, the Lewas will now look to bounce back in the final ODI against Thailand at Amini Park today.

The Saturday match saw Thailand won the toss and scored 191 runs before being bowled out in the 48th over.
Thailand captain Naruemol Chaiwai led the scoring with 61 runs.

Thailand were strong on their bowling and kept the pressure on for the Lewas as they struggled in the chase and were bowled out for 151 runs in 46 overs.

Henao Jean Thomas top scored for the Lewas with 35 runs, while Sibona Jimmy made 32 runs.

PNG bowler Pauke Siaka took four wickets, while Sibona Jimmy claimed three wickets.

Thailand’s Phannita Maya was named Player of the Match after taking three wickets for the lewas and scoring 25 runs. This is her second player of the match series, which she was the named player of the match in the first ODI on Thursday.

They will now face off with Thailand again for the final ODI today.
