GOVERNOR RAPA PRESENTS 2 VEHICLES TO MT HAGEN NURSES

AROUND 450 nurses in Western Highlands province will benefit from 2 brand new vehicles presented by the provincial leader, Governor Wai Rapa yesterday.

The vehicles, a 25-seater bus and a Land cruiser was presented to the Western Highlands Provincial Authority to assist the nurses in their routine operations.

The governor had earlier made a commitment to assist the nurses with vehicles and also support them in hosting the Nurses Symposium this year, which he full filled yesterday.

Director for Nursing Services in Mt Hagen Sr. Janet Yamu, thanked the Governor for the timely assistance saying, the land cruiser will greatly assist nurses in the remote areas to do their work in providing health service to the people.

Sr Yamu says that the vehicles will also assist the nurses as they prepare for the upcoming nurses symposium to be hosted in Mt Hagen this year.

Meanwhile, the Governor also commended local member for Mt Hagen and State Enterprises Minister William Duma for also assist the police officers with vehicles over the years and all other Western Highlands Provicnial MPs for their support towards the law and order sector.

He further urged the people to manage the vehicles well and to put them to good use.
