PAPUA New Guinea Kumuls head coach Jason Demetriou says the camp spirit and focus is on the team and on how well they can handle the Rugby League World Cup opening match against the Lebanon Cedars. There are zero complacency under his watch.

Despite Cedars coming on with much Super League and NRL experiences, that does not itch the Kumuls as yet, as they are willing to give the best tomorrow, in the opening clash.

Coach Demetriou said the focus is on how well they will perform on the field and not counting on opposing team’s experience.

Demetriou added it would be a tight and close contest on Saturday here at the National Football Stadium.

Meanwhile, Kumuls will start Finley Glare and Gairo Voro, with debutant Bailey Biondi-Odo to come off the bench.

This was revealed by coach Demetriou in a press briefing yesterday.

Demetriou said Biondi-Odo will not start, confirming that Glare and Voro to partner in the halves.

Demetriou said Glare and Voro played together for quite a while and understand each other well than freshman Biondi-Odo.
