CENTRAL PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT LAUNCHED SECOND BORDER MANAGEMENT POST AT HAIMA IN HIRI KOIARI DISTRICT

THE Central Provincial Government today Officiated the ground breaking for its next Border Management Post- HAIMA 2 BOOM gate at Sabusa, in the Hiri Koiari District, just past Laloki.

This is another Boarder Management Post milestone development initiative following the recently opened Provincial Boom Toll Gate at Bautmama this year.

Central Province Governor Rufina Peter officially launched the ceremony and acknowledged the collaborative partnership between the different stakeholders to ensure this project will come to completion.

Retired Commodore Peter Ilau who is spearheading the project highlights the projects intentions, pointing out that Boader Management Post such as the HAMA 2 BOOM GATE and Bautmata Provincial Boom Toll Gate is for managing the movement of people.

Commodore Ilau says, such infrastructure will be equipped with technology, backed by a good data system to monitor vehicle movements.

Acting Provincial Administrator Magini Raga, reaffirmed the administration support to Governor Peter and all relevant stakeholders who are behind such initiative, saying that his office will support in the coordination and facilitation of relevant stakeholders’ engagement.
