CRU WORKING TO FIND RAIT MIX FOR PROVINCIAL BATTLE
By Nigel MADO, Port Moresby
The Capital Rugby Union [CRU] will be looking to field their best team come game day against the Morobe Hammerheads and will not be resting on their laurels to find the best mix of talent, dedication and skills to field the best Boromas team.
General Manager for the CRU, Eddie Galele Junior has advised that they hope to make sure the Boromas are ready to face the best that Morobe has to offer.
He said the Men’s senior match on Sunday was just basically trying to see who the selectors can push into the Boromas squad and identify the best guys to take on Morobe.
Speaking of the performance of both the Boromas and Gaigais after the 33-12 drubbing of the Gaigais, he said generally it was a good performance, but not to the standard that they expected.
He added that there is a lot of things they would like to work on with the Boromas as both the teams took a while to gel.
Galele Jnr stated that this was basically due to the fact that many players have been off of rugby for the past five weeks but having said that, they are expecting challenges from now and November 16th before they finalise the spots to play the Hammerheads.
