Superintendent Luan when speaking to this newsroom dispelled the notion that Lae city has been harbouring a sex trafficking syndicate. He statied that these are fake reports only meant to sow dissent & panic among citizens.

He said this has been found to be untrue and a woman was said to have been arrested & reprimanded by members of the Lae Police command. She was arrested her post on social media that is said to have made reference to a purported sex ring.

The woman was later released by police after confessing to have spread unconfirmed reports.

He is now urging the people of the city to refrain from making unconfirmed reports. As police have found that to be untrue. He did however mention that if people have any information pertaining to any crime, report to the nearest police station in the city.
