NASFUND FM100 TALK BACK SHOW TO RETURN TO AIR SOON

The 2025 Nasfund FM100 Talk Back Show, Papua New Guinea’s longest standing Talk Back Show, is coming back on air this year under the of theme; “PNG AT 50! CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER.”

Cullinghan Tanda, renowned voice and host of Nasfund FM100 Talk Back Show said the officially launching by the Prime Minister James Marape, will take place at the Melanesia Haus for the very first time this year.

“With this year’s theme of “PNG AT 50! CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER” much of our discussions on the show will reflect how far we have come as a nation, where we are currently at and where we are heading to.

We will be looking at some of the oldest institutions in the country, both in the private and public sector as well as some of the significant events in the history of Papua New Guinea.

We were really hoping to get the Late Sir Julius Chan as a special feature this year. Unfortunately, no one could have predicted his untimely passing, right when we were supposed to be celebrating our 50th Independence Anniversary,” Cullinghan said.

The Nasfund FM100 Talk Back Show’s official launch will coincide with the launch of the FM100 Community Corner and Youth Talk Back Show on sister station Hot97FM.

Cullinghan said that this year, they are aiming to have replays of the Talk Back Shows at night, as some people do not have the time during the day to listen to the whole show. This would be ideal for listeners outside of Papua New Guinea.”

He explained that this aim will be helped along with the way with the good followings the show has on its online platforms, its app and also on the its website.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bill Wartovo, Chief Executive Officer of Kalang Advertising Limited, said that this year’s Talk Back show is an important one and will be used to spread positive messages.”

“A lot has happened in the last 50 years up until today. Now is a time to reflect, see the lessons we have learned and what you can do, going forward.”
