ELISEO GROUP CELEBRATES PNG’S INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY WITH STAFF.

The Chinese-owned Eliseo Group of companies yesterday celebrated PNG’s 49th Independence Anniversary with its staff at the company’s headquarters at 8 Mile in Port Moresby.

With the total number of Papua New Guineans employed with the Eliseo Group at 1, 270 across its various retail, wholesale, and freezer outlets in Port Moresby, staff at its headquarter shared the country’s significant day with its management.

Eliseo Group Human Resource Manager Arison Wakendui in her address to the staffs, acknowledged the forefathers of the country who formed the country to what it is today.

“The freedom we enjoy today results from the unwavering determination and sacrifices made by countless individuals who fought for our nation’s liberty. Their bravery and dedication laid the foundation for the vibrant and free society we cherish,” she said.

Mrs. Wakendui thanked the company’s management for acknowledging and honoring the country’s Independence Day.

“It is a testament to your respect for our national culture and commitment to fostering a sense of unity and pride among our staff. Bringing together every department, branch, and subsidiary for this occasion underscores the importance of honoring our heritage and celebrating our collective achievements.”

She said while enjoying the country’s independence anniversary, they must also remember the spirit of resilience and unity that defines the nation.

The event started with singing the National Anthem and National Pledge and cutting three large-sized cakes decorated with the National Flag image.

The Eliseo Group of Companies is also opening up its new branches across the city in the next few months.
