KOMOLONG OPTED FOR STUDY OVER MSG PRIME MINSTER’S CUP

VETERAN PNG Footballer, Alwin Komolong has ruled himself out of the selection for the upcoming MSG Prime Minsters cup.
Last year, Komolong captained the PNG nationals men’s team to bring the MSG Prime Minsters Cup home to PNG.
In a statement, Komolong said this year, he has made a decision to continue his studies through the FIFA Masters Programme, part of his commitment to furthering his education and understanding of the game beyond the field.
He said balancing both playing and academic commitments at this stage would not allow him to give my best to either.
The Kapuls defender said he is not retiring from football, he remains an active player and look forward to returning to the field and representing Papua New Guinea once he completes his studies.
He urged his teammates to defend the home with pride, play strong, enjoy the Experience, and have fun playing in front of home crowd, adding that it is a rare privilege not many Kapuls players get.
