BULOLO DDA PAYS K392,000 FOR TECHNICAL STUDENTS

BULOLO District students attending Bulolo Technical College had their school fees paid by the Bulolo District Development Authority through the Bulolo District Basil Scholarship Assistance Scheme on Wednesday totalling K392,900.
Bulolo MP and DDA Chairman, Sam Basil Jr presented a cheque to the school which covers the fees of 213 students from the district attending the school.
Basil Jr said for this year, they have paid school fees for 27 students attending AOG CHW Training School in Lae worth K105, 600, 33 students attending Balob Teachers College worth and K250,000 now K392,900 for 213 student attending Bulolo Technical College.
He said supporting the Bulolo Technical College students is timely because with the Wafi-Golpu project coming, they will need more Technical people and it is timely to help the students be prepared for the project.
Basil said with more Technical expertise that will be needed in the development of Bulolo and the country, they will also partner with National Polytechnic Institute of PNG (NPIPNG) students in the program to equip students from Bulolo in the technical space.
The Bulolo MP said they have also resolved for K1m to be given to Bulolo Technical School this year to build a new 4 in 1 classroom for the school.
Basil said they will also pay fees for students attending MRA Alluvial Mining school in Wau next week which is important given the vast Alluvial Mining activities in the district.
