DEI DISTRICT WARD COUNCILS RECEIVE GRANTS

FORTY- nine ward councils of the 51 wards in the Dei district in Western Highlands received their ward grants from the Dei District MP Desmond Kipa as the Development Authority Chairman.

In acknowledging the efforts of the ward councillors, MP Kipa presented K2000 cash to each councillors saying it is the beginning of many positive support to all the wards in the district.

MP Kipa clarified that a total of K200,000 has been budgeted for the ward councils, Kipa clarified to the 49 excited councillors.

The MP further presented cheques worth K100,000 to each of the 3 LLGs Presidents, K100,000 will be given after proper acquittals are made of the first K100,000.

Meantime, Council President of Kotna-Rulna LLG, Jerry Anis praised MP Desmond Kipa and the DDA team, for recognizing the work of councillors saying it is the first of it kind for an MP supporting ward councillors.
