KALANG FM100 TALKBACK SHOW LAUNCHED

Papua New Guinea’s longest-running talkback program has entered a new era with the official launch of the Kalang FM100 TalkBack Show this morning at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby.
Under the theme “PNG at 50: Conversations That Matter,” the program aims to provide a platform for national discussions as the country approaches its Golden Jubilee.
The event was attended by key figures, including Telikom Group Chairman Mr.Cedric Rondoke, Nasfund CEO Rajeev Sharma, and Prime Minister James Marape.
For decades, FM100 TalkBack has been a trusted space for discussions on politics, economy, governance, and social issues.
With its relaunch, Telikom Group Chairman Mr. Cedric Rondoke says the program promises to amplify voices from all sectors as PNG navigates its path toward the next 50 years.
The importance of open dialogue in nation-building was also highlighted by Nasfund CEO Rajeev Sharma, who emphasized the role of media in shaping national policies.

The highlight of the event was Prime Minister James Marape’s keynote address, where he reaffirmed his government’s commitment to free speech and national dialogue.
