The Morobe Pride Rugby League Club made their second win in the augural KCK RIGO RICE CUP Third Leg Challenge after a tough rugby league match against Erima Hurricanes at Bava Park yesterday.

The pride team travelled from Lae City last week to participate in the grassroots competition, and are transforming into a competitive contender after two encounters with POM based teams.

The pride secured their first victory on Sunday over Dust Turf RLC on a close contest and continued their quest with another impressive victory over the Erima Hurricanes yesterday.

Speaking to the media, Morobe Pride’s Head Coach Keary Tapako commend his boys for the two consecutive wins respectively against the D-Turf and Hurricanes.

“ I firstly credit the boys for the victory. It was a tough game compared to our first game and we still have some areas to improve and work on. ”

“We had some grudges in the field, but I told the boys to discipline themselves and focus on the game, which earned us this win.” Mr. Tapako said.

The Rigo Rice Cup continues this weekend with the inclusion of G-Hood Vikings, who will be making their first appearance.
