Wau-Waria MP, Marsh Narawec has petitioned the Government to review the revised Hidden Valley MOU and include the people of Wau-Waria as well in the MOA.

Speaking on the floor of Parliament yesterday, the Mp made this petition on behalf of the Wau-Waria constituent stating revised Hidden Valley Mining Memorandum of Understanding and MOA, had been delayed for over 10 years.

Citing reason as to why, he stated that most did not understand why the process was delayed for so long until just recently seeing the MOA draft, adding that the MOA draft review had completely left out the Bulolo District as one of the key stakeholders.

Narawec stated that national government agencies and provincial government administrations many are times not always on the ground to face socio-economic impact of the mining operations calling for a quick revision and presenting 15 petition points for the government to consider.
