Datec PNG Limited yesterday presented a K3 million dividend from its 2023 profits to its parent company, Telikom PNG.
The cheque was presented by Kumul Consolidated Holdings and Datec Chairman Moses Maladina and received by Telikom Group Chairman Cedric Rondoke, in the presence of State-Owned Enterprises Minister William Duma and Telikom CEO Amos Tepi, along with Datec CEO Preetam Talukdar and two other Datec board of directors.

Speaking during the presentation, Chairman Rondoke described the dividend as a significant milestone for Datec, acknowledging the hard work of the board, management and staff.

He said the payment reflects strong performance despite current challenges and it is a positive sign for future growth within the Telikom Group.

Rondoke also stressed the need for continued cooperation between the board and management to ensure sustained performance and deliver more results in the future.

Meanwhile Datec CEO Preetam Takuldar said the dividend payout is a reflection of disciplined execution, operational resilience and our unwavering focus on delivering value to its stakeholders.

He said the financial books for 2024 and 2025 are still in auditing process and announcement of 2024-2025 dividends depends on the audit process.

He emphasised that Datec will remain committed to building on this momentum as they drive innovation and sustainable growth across Papua New Guinea’s digital ecosystem.
