KINA BANK SUPPORTS PMGH BLOOD BANK

A Simple Act, A live saving Impact

KINA Bank has once again demonstrated its commitment to community wellbeing through its partnership with the Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) Blood Bank, helping to support critical blood supply needs.

A total of 56 Kina Bank team members participated in the 2026 Blood Donation Drive, reflecting a strong culture of care and generosity within the organisation.

From this effort, 31 bags of blood were successfully donated, providing vital support for patients in need of life-saving transfusions.

This year marks five years of Kina Bank’s ongoing support for the PMGH Blood Bank, with the initiative having first begun in 2021. Over time, this collaboration has become an important annual activity, reinforcing the bank’s dedication to giving back to the community in meaningful ways.

Kina Bank Employee Wellbeing and OHS Advisor Desmond Alesana highlighted the importance of collective action in supporting community health saying “Donating blood is one of the simplest yet most impactful ways we can help save lives. We are incredibly proud of our team who continue to show compassion and step forward to support those in need.”

For Kina Bank, this effort goes beyond a single day of giving but it reflects a deeper sense of responsibility to stand alongside communities during times of need. The bank remains committed to playing its part, not just through financial services, but through meaningful actions that make a real difference in people’s lives.
