A new multi-purpose hall will be built at Tubusereia Junior High School in Central Province following the official groundbreaking ceremony held today by BSP.
The project is being funded by BSP through its 50 for 50 Give Back initiative, which supports community development projects across Papua New Guinea to commemorate the country’s 50th anniversary.
Speaking at the ceremony, BSP Group Chief Executive Officer Mark Robinson said the project was nominated by BSP employees from Tubusereia as a way of giving back to their home community.
He said the initiative reflects BSP’s commitment to supporting education and rural communities while recognising the contribution of its staff across the country.
Meanwhile, Hiri-Koiari MP Keith Iduhu pledged K50,000 towards the project and assured the community that the district would continue to support BSP in delivering the new facility.
The multi-purpose hall is expected to provide improved learning and community space for students of Tubusereia Village along the Magi Highway.
