SP BREWERY PLEDGE K10,000 TO SUPPORT NATIONAL MASK & WARWAGIRA FESTIVAL

SOUTH Pacific Brewery has reaffirmed its support for Papua New Guinea’s cultural heritage with a K10,000 donation to the National Mask and Warwagira Festival Committee.

The 29th festival will be staged at Kalabond Sports Field in Kokopo, East New Britain, from July 8 to 10.
It will feature traditional dances, arts and crafts exhibitions, the dawn Kinavai canoe ceremony, and the famous Baining Fire Dance.

SP Brewery NGI Sales Manager Bagelo Babaga says the company is proud to foster togetherness while promoting responsible consumption through its “Generation of Change” campaign.

“We deeply value the richness of Papua New Guinea’s cultures and traditions, and we are honoured to be part of an event that highlights and preserves the unique mask cultures of East New Britain Province,” he said.

Mr Babaga also thanked the organizers, saying “We sincerely thank the National Mask and Warwagira Festival Committee for their dedication and tireless efforts in preserving our cultural heritage.”

Festival goers aged 18 and over are invited to visit the SP Brewery booth to learn more, engage with staff, and make a pledge to be part of the change.

Organizers say the event is not only a celebration of culture but also a chance to unite communities and showcase the diversity of Papua New Guinea.
