MEMBERS of the Piswara Seventh-day Adventist Church in Goroka last weekend donated food and essential items worth more than K600 to support the welfare of inmates at the Bihute Correctional Institution, while also sharing a message of hope through the Gospel.

The outreach, organised under the Church’s Adventist Community Services (ACS) Ministry, brought together both male and female inmates who gathered to hear a message from Minister Willie Job. Speaking from John 3:16, he reminded inmates of God’s love and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

The donation formed part of the church’s commitment to supporting the physical and spiritual wellbeing of those in custody.

The visit was the church’s second outreach to the correctional institution, reflecting its ongoing commitment to extending compassion, encouragement and practical support to inmates.

Correctional officers and inmates expressed their appreciation for the visit and the donation, while the church reaffirmed its commitment to continuing similar outreach programs in the future.
