LOCAL CULTURAL SHOW IN ENGA PROMOTES PASSING DOWN OF TRADITIONS

THE 7th Lagaip Sangai Festival hosted in the new Laiagam District of Enga Province ended on a high note with the notable inclusion of student participation.
Lagaip Sangai Festival Chairman Tony Sulupin indicated the importance of keeping the authentic Engan traditional dances, rituals,beliefs, songs and cultures alive by passing the skills and methods to the younger generation by hosting such cultural festivals regularly.
“We always promote and empower young children to embrace culture today and beyond,” Mr Sulupin said.
He mentioned the participation of several local primary schools in the area and assured the continuity of this initiative going forward.
Meanwhile, the 32nd Enga Cultural Show will begin tomorrow, where many international tourists are set to attend where a fun, action-packed cultural display will be showcased over the weekend at the Aipus Rugby Oval just a few kilometers out of Wabag Town.
