THE Pogera-Paiela District Development Authority (PPDDA) has purchased a total of five vehicles for law and order and health sectors in the district.

Pogera-Paiela Open MP Gidron Maso Karipe confirmed that the Paiela-Hewa LLG will receive a police vehicle to assist in combating law and order issues in this rural constituency while the police in Maip-Mulitaka LLG will also receive another vehicle to assist in rising law and order issues, particularly tribal fighting which is a concern in both constituencies.

The first term MP also announced that a total of three (3) fully kitted ambulances have been bought and will arrive next month that will be allocated for the Pogera LLG, Paiela-Hewa LLG and Maip-Mulitaka LLG respectively.

He encouraged his people to work in partnership with him as more work needs to be done in the resource rich district.

MP Karipe is appealing to his political opponents to work alongside him for now as they can challenge him when the writs are open for the 2027 National General Elections.
