BILUM RUNWAY AND AWARD NIGHT SET FOR SATURDAY

THE closing of the 2026 Moni Plus Goroka Bilum Festival will feature the Bilum Runway and Award Night that will be held on Saturday night at New Channel Inn Hotel from 6pm to 11pm.
The runway will feature collections from Goroka bilum weavers, including “Sisters Thread” and “Woven Wonders.”
Other collections include “Derivative Work” by Niyana Cowrie Collection, “Golden Thread” by Florence Jaukae Kamel, and “Natures Thread,” featuring natural fibre.
The competition collection will also be showcased as part of the event.
The runway and award night will form part of the festival’s celebration of bilum weaving, design and creativity.
The 17th Moni Plus Goroka Bilum Festival is being held under the theme, “Preserving Heritage, Protecting Tradition, Empowering Weavers.”
