THE Papua New Guinea Tourism Promotion Authority (PNGTPA) has acknowledged partners including Telikom PNG Limited for supporting the successful staging of the 2026 PNG Tourism Summit and Trade Exhibition in Port Moresby.

Telikom’s support reflects the importance of corporate partnerships in advancing national development and helping grow tourism as a contributor to economic activity, investment and employment.

Mineral Resources Development Company (MRDC) led sponsorship contributions with K250,000 as Platinum Sponsor, while other government agencies and corporate organisations provided financial and in-kind support.

PNGTPA Chief Executive Officer Eric Mossman Uvovo thanked Telikom and the supporting organisations for helping deliver the two-day event at APEC Haus on October 13 and 14.

Held under the theme “Reset for Success: Harnessing PNG’s Tourism and Hospitality, the Hub of the Pacific,” the Summit brought together stakeholders to discuss tourism investment, infrastructure, destination marketing and sustainable industry growth.

PNGTPA says continued partnerships between government and the private sector are essential to unlocking Papua New Guinea’s tourism potential and creating opportunities for local communities and businesses.
