MARAMUNI RURAL HOSPITAL SET FOR 2027 COMPLETION

THE K30 million Asian Development Bank funded rural health facility project at the Pasalangus government station of the Maramuni LLG in Wabag District is expected to be completed before the 2027 National General Elections.
This is according to the Wabag Open MP Dr Lino Tom who also highlighted that this impact project will be the first major government establishment to be built in this neglected area.
This K30 million Level 3 District Hospital Project will take a total of 24 months to be completed in three stages.
Currently, the Stage One component is being implemented by Cost Guide PNG Limited with civil works, construction of an outpatient and Accident & Emergency Block, 3 staff houses, a genset bock, an ablution block plus 2 guard posts valued at a total cost of K9.96 million progressing as initially planned.
The medical surgeon turned politician mentioned that this project is progressing at a steady pace but slightly slowly due to the remoteness and road conditions of the newly constructed Enga – Sepik Highway road project.
