MAPEX MARKS 24th TVET GRADUATION WITH 80 BUSINESS STUDIES GRADUATES

EIGHTY students from the Mapex Training Institute, Port Moresby Campus have finally attained their Diplomas and Certificate in Business Studies yesterday at the 24th Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) Business Studies graduation ceremony at the Sports Inn, Port Moresby.

In his official opening remarks, Mapex Training Institute Principal Vipin Vincent highlighted the theme of the graduation ceremony, “Skills for Success,” saying it reflected the determination, skills, and aspirations of the graduates as they embarked on new opportunities and careers.

Principal Vincent confirmed 12 students graduated with Diplomas in various TVET courses, 26 graduated with Certificates in Occupational Health and Safety Management Level 1-4 and 42 students graduated with Certificates in various TVET courses.

“Their success is the testament to their hard work, dedication and commitment to developing industry relevant skills,” he said.

Keynote Speaker and Mapex Board Chairman, Dr. Solomon Awili, said the graduation ceremony marked the successful completion of the academic component of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs offered by Mapex.

On behalf of the Mapex Board and Management, Dr. Awili thanked all parents and sponsors for their unwavering support, acknowledging the sacrifices they made to fund the students’ education despite the challenging economic times.

Dr. Awili encouraged them to start somewhere, even if opportunities seemed limited or they faced criticism.

He urged them not to wait for the perfect job but to take the first step, work hard, and build their careers from wherever they began.
