LAHANIS BUILD MOMENTUM TOWARDS FINALS

THE Bintangor Goroka Lahanis are building momentum at an important stage of the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup season, following two convincing victories in their last two matches.

The Lahanis defeated the NPL Enga Mioks 40-10 in Round 16 before producing a strong second-half comeback against Asila Waghi Tumbe last Sunday to win 44-18.

After trailing 12-10 at halftime, Goroka lifted its attack and defence to score 34 points in the second half, while limiting Tumbe to just six.

The Lahanis now sit on 17 competition points and face the Moni Plus NCDC Port Moresby Vipers in Round 18 this Sunday.

A win in Goroka would further strengthen their push for a place in the finals.
