NEW NIP PPC TO FOCUS ON CAPACITY BUILDING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

NEWLY appointed New Ireland Provincial Police Commander, Chief Superintendent [CSP] George Fanamanu has hit the ground running in his new capacity, wasting no time in working on a policing strategy to serve the people of New Ireland.

Speaking to the FM100 Newsroom this morning, CSP Fanamanu stated that he is still working on getting his policing strategy in place as he works to identify areas needed for enhancement.

The Chief Superintendent stated that one of the key aspects of his strategy is the staff development of the command and troubleshooting key issues ensuring that the command is well equipped to deal with any situation that may arise.

Aside from this, CSP Fanamanu has also hinted that a core part of his policing strategy is too understand the community and ensure that the community in New Ireland as a stakeholder in Law and order continue positive engagement with police.

The CSP’s plan is looking to continue working with the community and other stakeholders involved in addressing law and order, while promoting community involvement as a key aspect of his strategy.
