WANSOLWARA ARTISTS TO PERFORM AT COSMOPOLITAN

THREE Solomon Islands artists, Blanc.O, Bibao and Ruff neck will be performing a live in concert on Saturday 11th January at the Cosmopolitan club at the Vision City Mega Mall, Waigani in the nation’s capital.

The Cosmopolitan club takes pride in supporting local talent especially by providing the networking and marketing platform for artists in the music industry,

In a press conference yesterday, Elaine Jinga, the Events Manager for the Cosmopolitan Club shared that this live in concert is the club’s first international concert for this year.

Jinga clarified that since the Cosmopolitan began, the club has been helping to promote local talent by hosting music, dance, fashion and other competitions but with this special concert, the club extends its support to artists in the region as well.

PNG’s first Superclub will host three reggae sensations from the Solomon Islands, David Blanco Tuhaiki, known by stage name “BLANC.O”, Maclean known by his stage name “Ruff Neck” and Lester Bibao Kisina known by his stage “Bibao”.

The three artist told media yesterday this is their first visit to Papua New Guinea and they are excited, blessed and honoured to be here.

“I think PNG is close to Solomon Islands, we are like sister countries, especially in terms of Language, we speak Pidgin, you guys speak Tok Pisin, it’s not the same but like 70% of what you guys say we can understand. I feel like we (Solomon Islanders) are connected to PNG than any other country in the Pacific” said Bibao.

Bibao was one of the nominees for the TV Program, 2024 Pacific Break, the Pacific’s biggest music competition.

Meanwhile the artists also shared, they have prepared for Saturday, Bibao and Ruff neck: dancehall reggae’s set promises a dancehall reggae and Blanc.O will be taking the stage with an emotional reggae set.

The live in concert is proudly sponsored by the Niugini Ice and is expected to be a fun filled night with the wansolwara artists.

Tickets will be exclusively sold at the Cosmopolitan with general entry price, K80, K100 for VIP and K120 for Balcony.
