THE Central Police are yet to effect arrest on the suspects seen in the video that went viral on social media showing youths with bows and arrows holding chopped up body parts mainly due to lack of funding.

Central Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Chief Inspector Joseph Salle in an interview with FM100 Newsroom confirmed that central police are yet to arrest the suspects of the barbaric killings but still delayed due to lack of funding to carry out this operation.

PPC Salle said his police officers are ready to conduct investigations and effect arrests however, they are still awaiting the Police Headquarters to release funds to carry out this operation.

Chief Inspector Salle who strongly condemns the killings has called on the Goilala people and all of Central Province to not take matters into their own hands but report it to police for the rule of law to take effect.

He says such barbaric killings can be avoided if people report matters to police instead of taking it into their own hands and kill innocent people in such an animalistic manner.

He adds that such acts of violence paint a bad image of the country.

Meanwhile when asked on the Crocodile attack that occurred over the weekend in Aroma, PPC Salle says his office is yet to receive a detailed report on the matter as investigations are ongoing and he will not comment further.
