Acting ACP Tondop emphasized that the suspect who pulled the trigger killing an innocent police officer, and the others who chopped the other police officers whilst on duty are not just a criminals but all are enemies of the state.

He stated this is becoming a trend now for criminals in the Upper Highlands to shoot at or kill policemen at will and, this time he will not take it easy.
Late Constable Noah Biape was with his other three colleague police officers attached with MS 11 based in Wabag were on duty along the Tambul Mendi road, Timipa village of Upper Mendi in the Southern Highlands Province when they were attacke, shot at and ambushed by local armed men resulting in his death ealier this week.
“I will come down hard and soon demonstrate the authority and the powers of the State.
This is a special appeal to leadership at Mountain Paia Timipa village Upper Mendi to stand up for the rule of law and, cooperate with PPC SHP and surrender the suspects immediately,” he warned.
“I classify them local terrorists including local citizens and leaders who do not cooperate in identifying the local terrorists involved in the attack of the law enforcement officers of the State.
These are domestic terrorists who have no respect for God’s law, national laws, government authority and police officers who are custodians of the law.
I have had enough of this and will hunt down these terrorist wherever they think they will flee to.
If you do not respect the law and officers of the law, then expect no respect from them when they come for you to bring you justice.”
On his orders, ACP Tondop said PPC Enga, Chief Superintendent Fred Yakasa is in SHP assessing the situation there and supporting his brother PPC Southern Highlands.
“I assure his work colleagues and immediate family members that I will prioritize investigations and other actions necessary to bring the offenders to justice. We are going through some difficult times and all I need is your undivided support and lets all work to seek true justice for the death of Constable Noah Biape,” ACP Tondop assured.
