MARAPE ANNOUNCES MINI-CABINET RESHUFFLE

IN a hardest way to combat ongoing trouble warfare and illegal smuggling of firearms and ammunition into the Upper Highlands, Prime Minister James Marape has made a mini cabinet reshuffle, appointing Kompiam-Ambum MP Sir John Pundari as the Police and Internal Security Minster, earlier this morning in Port Moresby.
Prime Minister Marape added that Sir John’s appointment as the police minister is to address the escalating Law and Order issues in the Upper-Highlands and also the Country, reassigning Peter Tsamilili Jnr to the Works and Highways ministry.
Meanwhile, Tewai-Siassi MP Dr Kobby Bomareo retained his Housing and Urbanisation ministry while, Menyama MP Solan Loifa was given the Mining Ministry, left vacant by Morobe Governor Rainbo Paita.
“Sir Pundari is not new to business in the cabinet, having being the most senior politicians with record years in politics since he joined in 1992, trailing on after the Late Sir Julius Chan.”
“It is not easy to bring back experience hands on deck, the country needs help from experience hands,” PM Marape said.
He further acknowledged Solan Loifa and his political party, OUR Party, as the second biggest coalition party supporting the agendas of the Marape Rosso government.
The vacancies filled were left vacant by Reinbo Paita as the Mining Minister following his appointment as Governor for Morobe and Late Solan Mirisim as the then Minister for Works and Highways.
The Prime Minister affirmed to the nation that more reshuffles are coming up later on this year.
