BARRAMUNDIS TAKE SEVEN CHANGES INTO KENYA CAMPAIGN

BY JORDON VELA
PNG Barramundis head coach Tim McCaskill says the national side will travel to Kenya with seven changes from its previous ICC Challenge League campaign, but with a clear focus on winning every match.
McCaskill said the 14-man squad is the best team selected for the campaign after a strong preparation period.
“When we’re looking at this team compared to the team that played in the last round two of this competition, there’s actually seven changes.”
He said the changes bring a mix of experience and youth into the side.
“The team that’s going away, we’re saying that’s our best team from what we’ve seen … So yeah, we’re aiming to win every game we play.”
The Barramundis will depart PNG on Oct. 13, playing two 50-over matches against the UAE in Dubai before travelling to Kenya.
PNG opens against Jersey on Oct. 22, followed by Denmark, Qatar, Kuwait and Kenya.
McCaskill also highlighted the progress of young players, including Dauncey Tom.
