WARD COUNCIL GRATEFUL FOR ESSENTIAL SERVICES

BY JOSEPH REMA
Kou Ward 2 Councillor Michael Puringi has commended Imbonggu MP and Minister for Justice and Attorney General Pila Niningi for establishing essential government services in Walume, saying the development will improve service delivery and access for local communities.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Imbonggu, Mr Puringi welcomed the establishment of key government agencies in Walume, describing it as an important step towards bringing essential public services closer to the people.
He said residents previously faced difficulties travelling long distances to access government services, resulting in additional costs and lost time.
“I am very happy with this development and commend our Member for Imbonggu, Minister Pila Niningi, for bringing these important government services closer to our people,” Mr Puringi said.
He said the presence of government agencies in Walume would make it easier for residents to access services, conduct official business and seek assistance without travelling to distant service centres.
Mr Puringi said the initiative demonstrated the importance of leadership that prioritised people’s needs and focused on improving service delivery at the local level.
He added that the availability of government services in the district centre would also benefit surrounding communities by reducing travel expenses and saving valuable time.
Mr Puringi urged the people of Imbonggu to support the initiative and make proper use of the services now available to them.
He also called for continued efforts to bring additional government services into the district to support community development and improve public access.
