PMGH WELCOMES 20 BABIES ON INDEPENDENCE DAY

PORT Moresby General Hospital delivered 20 babies between midnight and midday today September 16.

PMGH Chief Executive Officer Dr Paki Molumi commended staff from the Labour Ward, Postnatal Ward and Special Care Nursery for their dedication in caring for mothers and newborns.

Among the new arrivals is a 3.2-kilogram baby boy, born to 31-year-old Diana Darubia from Milne Bay Province.

He was the first baby born at PMGH on Independence Day.

Dr Molumi says the arrival of the 20 newborns gives 20 families another reason to celebrate Papua New Guinea’s 51st Independence Anniversary.
