MADANG PHA TEMPORARY PARTNERSHIP WITH MOROBE BENEFICIAL

Thanks to the Partnership with Hospitals in Morobe and their Provincial Health Authority, the Madang Provincial Health Authority were able to continue operations throughout the Festive period last year and continue on through this year.

This was the advice from the Madang PHA’s Director for Public Health, Dr. Martin Damien, who spoke with this newsroom on the current relationship with their counterparts in Morobe.

The Director stated that they have been able to maintain their drugs, especially painkillers and anti-biotics for regular prescriptions. He went on to further state that medicine distribution has been pivotal in maintaining their clinics and Modilon Hospital.

Despite the burning down of the Area Medical Store last year, this temporary partnership has managed to see medicine distribution to all clinics & health centres in the province.

Aside from this, Dr. Damien said for Modilon, their drug come direct from Angau Memorial Hospital while for clinics & health centres in Madang, they get their supplies direct from the PHA.

Meanwhile, Dr. Damien was also proud to announce that Madang Province during the Festive season Celebrations did not record any major incidents or accidents.
