SIMBU WARRIORS VS PNGRFL CASE ADJOURNED TO NEXT WEEK

THE Interim Orders sought by the Simbu Warriors to stop Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League from publishing or circulating the 2025 Digicel-ExxonMobil Cup competition is effective until court makes the decision.
This was the decision from the National Court in Waigani earlier today, where presiding single judge justice John Carey handed out.
However, the matter was adjourned to Monday, 3rd of February, for the hearing, as both Simbu Warriors and Morobe Kandes and all parties to appear at 2;30pm.
Lawyer representing Simbu Warriors, Stephen Ranewa told Court that due to both Warriors and Kandes have the same defendant, which is the PNGNRLC, it is proper to hear the both case on same time as the nature of case is common.
STEPHEN Rawena of Kawat Lawyers representing the Simbu Warriors rugby football league club speaking to the media shared that Justice John Carey, presiding as the single National Court judge this morning, told parties to return to Court on Monday for both proceedings to be heard, including Morobe Kandes.
Deputy Chief Justice Ambeng Kandakasi will hear both matter on Monday, 3rd of February at 2:30pm.
