The Kavieng Basketball Association over the weekend held their Grand Final matches at the Kavieng town Basketball courts, showcasing some exciting basketball action.

In the Womens A grade Reserve Division, N4C defeated Vodafone with a final score of 29-17, while in the Mens A Grade Reserve Division, Little Israel claimed the title by defeating Stars 18-12.

In the matches of the Womens and Mens A grade Division, N4C men defeated a strong Little Israel team with a final score of 36-32, while Little Israel in the womens division secured a close victory against Stars with a score of 31-30.

KBA Games Coordinator Mr. Kess Uri noted the challenges faced by the association, including difficulties in securing sponsors. However, with the contributions from the players and club registrations, they were able to successfully complete the 2024 season.

Uri congratulated the winning teams and expressed hopes for an even better season next year, 2025 with more clubs to show interest and participate in the basketball games.

He also appreciated BFPNG’s support on working with KBA this season with 3×3 basketball programs and the women basketball inclusion programs. The KBA finals were a thrilling conclusion to the season, showcasing the talents of school children and adults and the overall performance of the teams.
