MAJOR FOCUS TO BE GIVEN TO JACKSONS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT

AFTER taking the new role as the Minister responsible for Civil Aviation, Jimi MP Wake Goi has wasted no time in scooping out his plans, visions, aspirations and aims for one of the important sectors in the country.

First and foremost, the Minister responsible adamant to re-develop Jacksons International Airport, while focus is also to be given to other airports and neglected airstrips in remote areas.

However, Minister Goi clearly stated that to steer positive outcome of these visions and plans, there needs to be paradigm shift in leadership within this important industry, which, eventually, forced him to make critical changes and appointments to the hierarchy, especially to the National Airports Corporations in the recent days.

Minister Goi further added that there are certain areas or points that needs to be developed around Jacksons International Airport and once he resumes his new office, he would look in these things, for the betterment of the airport, National Airports Corporation Ltd and the Country.

Mr. Goi also brushed aside the recent turn of events concerning the NAC, adding that it was not politically motivated, however, it was done for the best interest of the organization and the industry.
